He was the first son of the late Michael Negbenebor and Mrs. Eunice Negbenebor, and the only son to Eunice. His father, Sir Michael Negbenebor, was a well-respected personality in old Bendel and Edo State before his demise in 2014.
Collins, as he was fondly called, was deeply involved in his community and faith, serving as an Altar boy at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Benin City and later becoming a member of the Knights of St. John, reflecting his commitment to service and religious devotion.
