In Oshodi/Isolo Support Grows for Hon Oloyede As Residents Pass Vote of Confidence For A Deserving Second Term

16 September, 2024

The buzz in Oshodi/Isolo Local Government is unmistakable, Hon. Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, affectionately known as Kendo, deserves another term as council chairman. As his first term draws to a close, supporters are rallying for a continuation of his transformative leadership.

Otunba Oloyede also known as Kendo, a businessman-turned-politician, has made waves since stepping into office. As an established property developer, he has dramatically upgraded local infrastructure. Under his watch, over 27 access roads have been constructed, along with efficient drainage systems and upgraded public facilities—outdoing all his predecessors.

Kendo's focus on youth empowerment is another feather in his cap. Many young people have benefitted from vocational training programs, including free summer tech courses. With startup grants and entrepreneurial opportunities sprouting across party lines, Kendo is not just boosting commerce, he's actively reducing crime in the community.

But that’s not all, Kendo’s commitment to healthcare has turned heads! Vulnerable residents now enjoy free healthcare programs, with healthcare centers given much-needed renovations and stocked with essential medical supplies.

Known for his inclusive approach to governance, Kendo opens the floor in town hall meetings, ensuring community feedback directly shapes his projects. His administration's impact on education has been profound, from rehabilitating schools to offering free student transportation, distributing educational materials, and providing scholarships to those in need.

Safety is a top priority for Kendo, the son of a market leader in Oshodi. His bold moves to enhance community policing, install streetlights in dark spots, and engage vigilante groups have resulted in a significant drop in crime rates.

Kendo’s efforts to ease the cost of living haven’t gone unnoticed, either. His administration regularly distributes free food packs, while transportation costs for council workers have been subsidized, making a real difference in residents' lives.

With the next local government election in Lagos set for 2025, the call for Kendo to continue leading Oshodi/Isolo is stronger than ever.
