Tinuade, known for her influential role within the Celestial Church of Christ, was a prominent member of the Pastor-in-Council, the church's highest decision-making body. Her contributions to the church and community were widely recognized, culminating in an award she received during the church's recent 40th anniversary celebrations.
A heartfelt tribute from Celestial Church of Christ, Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, expressed their sorrow: “It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. We submit to his will #farewell.”
According to Olukoya Benjamin, Head of the Media unit at her parish, Tinuade had been feeling unwell just two days prior to her passing. “She was taken to the hospital but managed to eat yesterday before she gave up the ghost earlier this morning,” he shared. “She was a strong member of the women’s council.”
Mourning her loss, Victoria Omodudu, Chairperson of the Celestial Church Christ Women Council, expressed her grief in a WhatsApp message to fellow church members: “Aunty mi, Egbon mi, eyi ga ju agbara mi lo. I was at your place on Saturday, 5th October, 2024. You were hale and hearty. Jo o, Olorun.”
Dr. Ade Tinubu, personal physician to President Bola Tinubu, also extended his condolences with a simple yet poignant message: “May her soul rest in peace.”
Tinuade Ladoja celebrated her 71st birthday in April and leaves behind a legacy of devotion to her faith and community. As tributes pour in from friends and family alike, her absence will be deeply felt in both the political and religious spheres of Oyo State.
