The billionaire is fast becoming one of the biggest philanthropists from the northerner part of Nigeria for the milk of kindness running in his veins. As proof, the chairman of conglomerate BUA Group, Alhaji Rabiu Abdul Samad, has ever been there to fill the yawning gap of poverty and insolvency by the hopeless and helpless masses.
The man many identify as an apostle of charity, donate money and help worth a whopping sum of over N10 billion, albeit single-handedly, to cushion and fund the battle against the alarming insecurity across the nation through his ASR Africa towards the provision of some security equipment, medical and other supplies, upgrade of health facilities and other infrastructure for families of those on the frontlines.
In his recent visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja, this leading Nigerian businessman, industrialist, and philanthropist, Abdul Samad thanked Mr. President for creating an enabling environment for business to thrive, and also brief him on the strides BUA Group has made in the past few years.
Rabiu is so large-hearted that hardly a month passes without putting smiles on the faces of the poor, needy, indigent and less-privileged people, who he feels for every day in his cocoon. To boot, what is even more amazing and heart-rending is that Rabiu never grandstands or boasts of his many ground-swelling gestures, even as he does not brood any idea of winding down or slowing down a bit in any foreseeable distant future. Rabiu is indeed philanthropy personified.
