According to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu during a commendation service in honour of the Ikere-Ekiti born politician which was held at the Dome, the late Olumilua was an iconic leader.
Akeredolu added that the former Ondo Governor was an astute politician and a manager of both human and material resources.
Olumilua, who died on June 4, 2020, served as Governor between 1992 and 1993 before the state was split into Ondo and Ekiti State in 1996.
He was a member of the defunct Social Democratic Party and remained in the progressives family.
His son, Muyiwa Olumilua, who is the Ekiti State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, said his father dedicated his life to serve humanity stressing that the family was consoled with the love and goodwill their late father extended to people.
