This was made known in a press release issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka and forwarded to DAILY POST, Wednesday afternoon.
Recall that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu had on August 2, suspended Engr. Bright Ikeokwu, as General Manager, Traffic and Indiscipline Management Agency of Abia State, TIMAAS.
The Governor had also relieved the Commissioner for Transport, Barrister Ekele Nwaohammuo, of his appointment.
But, the cause of the suspension and sack of the duo respectively were not disclosed in the statement issued by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Anthony Agbazuere.
Reinstating the TIMAAS General Manager, however, Ikpeazu, said “Within this probationary period, the General Manager is expected to battle all forms of Traffic Indiscipline by road users, destruction of public property by any person, enforcement of environmental sanitation and the immediate end to illegal extortion by officers of the Agency.
“The ability of the General Manager to effectively meet the above targets within the probationary period will determine the next line of action regarding his appointment.
“This probationary reinstatement takes immediate effect”.
