The Chairman of the Commission, Mr Henry Omaku, stated this on Tuesday when the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on NASIEC visited the commission in Lafia.
Omaku said that the commission is ready for the election and would release the election time table in the first week of September.
“By God’s grace, we are ready for the conduct of the local government election in February 2021.
“The election will hold as scheduled as the election notice will be released the first week of September 2020,” he said.
According to him, NASIEC had gotten the needed support from the state government ahead of the election.
He also assured that there will be a free, fair and credible election while soliciting for prayers and support from all and sundry to enable the commission succeed, NAN reports.
