The command said that its Agro Rangers Squad (Ogbomoso Zone) apprehended the farmer, Abraham Alamu in Ogbomoso.
NSCDC in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Mr Oluwole Olusegun, added that the suspect was arrested for murder.
The statement noted that Alamu was arrested on Friday in Ogbomoso town following his escape after he allegedly committed the offence at Oko Oba, Elega, Orire Local Government Area on 21st August, 2020.
The statement added that the suspect brutalized one Shuaib Adamu of Elega village, Ikoyi Ogbomoso for grazing his cattle on his farm.
State Commandant of NSCDC, Mr. Iskilu Akinsanya, while speaking said that the arrest was made possible with the help of the public and the Agro Rangers Squad of the command.
He said that the suspect was later handed over to the Nigeria police, Oyo State Command for further investigations.
Items recovered from the suspect according to NSCDC included; Carpenter working tools: Scissors, Hammer, Saw, Nail remover, Mosquito net, 3 ATM cards, Two apprentice identification card, cloth, Bible, toothbrush and purse.
