DAILY POST gathered that key actors of the party had been meeting since Friday and Saturday looking for a consensus.
Our source hinted that “We are still talking, looking for a common goal. We had meetings on Friday and today (Saturday), nothing to worry about. I am sure very soon we shall arrive at a consensus.”
Meanwhile, in a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan on Saturday, he stated that the NWC, after due consultations and in exercise of its powers under the PDP constitution, postponed the Cross River State Congress from the earlier scheduled date of Saturday, August 8, 2020 to Saturday, August 15, 2020.
The postponement, the statement added, was sequel to demands of exigencies of party administration.
It appealed to all critical stakeholders, elders, leaders as well as teeming members and supporters of the party, particularly in Cross River State to be guided accordingly.
