The attention of the General Council of The First African Church Mission has been drawn to your publication of August 16, 2023 on the above subject matter.
For record, The Mission’s 132nd Conference – In – Session, never resolved to collapse Dioceses nor to retire 7 Archbishops as published by your news media. Rather, the Conference – In – Session resolved that the “ongoing restructuring, re-engineering and harmonization policy, should continue in the overall interest of the Church”.
Sequel to this, four Archdioceses comprising of South South, South East, North East and North Central, shall be restructured into Archdiocese of Port-Harcourt, Archdiocese of the East and Archdiocese of the North.
Contrary to your publication, resolutions taken at the Conference were taken by the entire Conference Delegates. In this regard, to refer to The Primate as being dictatorial is callous, malicious and libelous.
Your News Media is therefore put on strictest proof on where it got her source of information.
Your News Media is upon the above given 48hours to publish the correct information that transpired in our Conference or else, we shall approach a Court of competent jurisdiction for redress and damages.
