Following the nationwide blackout caused by the collapse of the national grid on Monday, power is being restored to many transmission stations across the country. This was announced today, March 15, by Eko Electricity Distribution Company in a statement. The statement reads, “Dear esteemed customers, we would like to inform you that the TCN station have been restored. Power supply to our customers are equally being restored in phases as we monitor the progress. More updates shall be provided on the situation.” The national grid's power generation dropped to zero megawatts around 10.40 a.m. on Monday, resulting in widespread blackouts across the country. Several power distribution companies notified their customers about the grid failure, emphasizing that it was the cause of the outages.
