This, DAILY POST learnt, was in compliance with the directive of the 8th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on June 25.
In a statement by the Publicity Secretary of the Ogun APC Caretaker Committee, Tunde Oladunjoye, on Wednesday, it was gathered that the Chairman of the committee, Chief Yemi Sanusi had directed party members who are in court for one reason or the other to withdraw the litigations without further delay.
Oladunjoye said this was part of the decisions of the committee at its July monthly meeting, held at the state party secretariat, Abeokuta on Wednesday.
He recalled that the APC NEC had resolved that all pending litigations in courts should be withdrawn by party members who instituted the suits.
He disclosed that the decision of NEC had been communicated to the Ogun State Chapter through a letter dated July 1, 2020.
“The State Working Committee met today and we unanimously passed a resolution to fully abide with the NEC’s directive,” he quoted Sanusi as saying.
Speaking further, Oladunjoye said the APC in Ogun “expressed hope and confidence in the capacity of the Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Committee” headed by Gov Mai Mala Buni.
The party, according to him, pleaded for “total compliance by all party faithfuls for the progress of the party.”
