The council chairman in company of some of his personal staff and council officials were received by the Electoral Officer who commended the chairman for taking the initiative which he said would encourage citizens to do same.
Speaking with the media after the revalidation exercise on Tuesday, Otunba Oloyede disclosed that he has done that to show leadership by example.
He reiterated that all eligible voters in the local government and those who need to update their records should revalidate their PVCs in preparation for the 2023 general elections.
The council boss advised those who have not registered, especially those who have just gotten to voting age to as a matter of urgency to visit the INEC office in the council to get registered as voters, stressing that it's through that they can elect candidates of their choice come 2023.
The Mayor also stated that as a public servant, he will continue to provide leadership and ensure dividends of democracy get to the people who elected him to the position.
He commended the electoral officer and his team for the prompt manner in which he was attended to and advised that such should be extended to others.
