President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken out about the crisis engulfing the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Punch, the president warned APC leaders and members to stop name-calling and backstabbing in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Garba Shehu. He stated once more that the party's national convention would be held on March 26. The president urged APC members to “remain steadfast and maintain unity if the party is to continue in the path of victory and its dominance at all levels throughout the country.” The statement quoted Buhari as asking members of the party to “look at the once-powerful, main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), now enfeebled and adrift and learn lessons in disunity, mismanagement, and corruption.” He said, “They (PDP) failed in 16 years in power and a failure as opposition. “Yes, we are entitled to our own share of dissent and intra-party discord.…
