He is celebrating a development that cleared him of alleged involvement in the infamous 2015 Offa bank robbery.
Two petitioners at the Judicial Panel of Enquiry on ‘EndSars’ in Ilorin, Kwara State claimed that officers of the disbanded SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad) forced them to implicate Saraki.
The petitioners, Alhaji Kehinde Gobir and Alhaji Shuaib Jawando, said they were tortured and spent 73 days in Ilorin and Abuja to make them implicate Saraki in the robbery operation that resulted in multiple deaths.
They admitted that they are political supporters of Saraki. Police counsel, Adekunle Iwalaye, prayed the panel should dismiss the petitions in their entirety. Bukola Saraki, inspite of all his travails has just proven that he is a cat with nine lives.
