The chairman who was represented by his vice, Hon. (Mrs) Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, at this year’s teachers day celebration organised by the National Union of Teachers (NUT) at Methodist Primary School, Oshodi, commended the teachers for their sacrifices and commitment to building the future of their pupils.
Hon. (Mrs) Badmus-Aregbe while delivering the goodwill message of the chairman, noted that teachers are pivotal in the development of any society, Oshodi and Nigeria inclusive.
According to the chairman “, I celebrate with all the teachers around the world, particularly our energetic, dedicated and passionate Oshodi teachers. Your selfless services are well noted with deep gratitude and appreciation. Due to the efficiency of your services, Bolade Junior School has been adjudged “The Best Junior Secondary School” in Nigeria. This feat would not have been possible without the diligence and commitment of all the teachers.”
In appreciation of the dedicated services of Oshodi teachers, our administration shall partner with the teachers and see how we can provide some of the needed items that would enhance their service delivery. In the coming months, we shall endeavour to rebuild your Secretariat and also provide a bus that would enhance your movement,” he concluded.
In her response, the chairperson of the Oshodi-Isolo chapter of the NUT, Comrade Abosede Adegbesan as well as other members of the union thanked the council boss for his intervention in improving education, promise to buy bus for the teachers and rebuild their secretariat.
